It is simply not possible to get shiny textures in dx8. I have just watched one of funke s old videos about tf2 mods. My problem is that the fix for it does not work on online games it only works offline. It is fantastic but some of the items have bugged lighting or something like this.

Mat phong is a convar all you need to do is put mat phong 0 in your fps config you can put it. This will not fix anything on directx 8 dxlevel 81 launch option. However i absolutely hate the way aussies look with it so i downloaded a fix for it. Please remove this mod if you switch to mat phong 1.

I was getting tired of how disgusting some props looked with mat phong 0 so i decided to take it into my own hands. I have not seen many people upload a tutorial on this so i decided to do one. And if you have trouble installing mods go look up a tutorial. This is redundant and looks bad.
